About Us

Limpopo, named after the Limpopo River, means “waterfalls” in Zulu and other Nguni languages. It is a land of myths and legends, pronounced beauty and home to the majestic Baobab Tree. The province also boasts a 75 000m² super regional shopping centre nestled in the heart of Polokwane, with over 180 stores. Easy to access, with generous parking and convenient shopping hours, Mall of the North is home to some of South Africa’s most popular department and grocery stores, including Checkers, Pick N Pay, Woolworths, Game and Edgars.

The shopping centre recreates the comfort of a traditional market place with the boutique of modern shopping allowing the shopper to explore passages filled with fashion, jewelry, entertainment and food outlets with comparative, attractive convenience.

Open seven days a week, Mall of the North is a world entirely devoted to home and lifestyle improvements and compliments. So whether your taste is for contemporary furniture, ready-to-wear fashion, personalised family time – including the latest 3D movie releases, or simply to dine like a king, Mall of the North is the shopping be-seen destination where seeing is believing!

Shopping with Little Ones
Mall of the North offers its patrons with young children the privacy of a family room complete with baby changing facilities. Our family rooms have their own entrances, which means that Mommy or Daddy can accompany the little ones. Mall of the North also accommodates families with extra-wide family parking bays to give you enough space to easily strap your little ones in their safety seats and get your wriggle worm safely into their pram or pushchair. For more information about our family facilities, please contact Rene van der Merwe on 082 300 7620 or send an email

We Love Limpopo
Mall of the North has an affinity with Limpopo Tourism. We offer Limpopo Tourism information facilities at Mall of the North situated at the Information Kiosk on the Lower Level in the centre of the mall, near Game. Our Mall of the North Guest Relations officers will be able to provide shopping patrons with information on the mall offering as well as detail and material on the Province’s local attractions.
